  Last Tuesday I came to this location to rent a mattress. At the time I specified that I did NOT want a mattress that was stained, however they apparently don't offer used stainless mattresses. The manager had me look at a few mattresses which CLEARLY had stains, but instead he attempted to have me believe that it was part of the pattern of the mattress. After once again making it obviously clear that I would not bring a stained mattress into my home, he promised that he would find me a good one. I paid with my card expecting to receive what I asked for, however, the following day (Wednesday) I took off of work to be there, but then the delivery men carried out yet another mattress ...with a stain. I apologized to the gentlemen because their boss had them waste their time bringing a mattress that I told him numerous times that I did not want, or maybe he thought I wasn't smart enough to check it first. Either way, I pointed out the large stain to the men and even they said they saw it. The following day (Thursday) I received no phone call from them to attempt to fix the issue, I guess because they already had my business/money my situation was no longer important. I went to the store Thursday afternoon to find out what the next step would be, however the manager was not there, the woman told me that she would have him call me...that did not happen. Friday...still no call from them. After picking up my child from school I went back up to the store, he was not there again, and I was once again told he would call me. Saturday afternoon after getting out of a meeting (around 2) I had a missed call from them at which time I called them back. I was told that the manager was trying to get in touch with me all morning as if I should have been sitting by the phone waiting for him. He told me that he would "try his best" to get the bed to me that day but he has to get peoples breaks out then he would call back. After I didn't get a call back at 330 I realized he is just full of it and I was no longer going to waste my time. I called another company and they had a STAINLESS bed out to me by 6pm. I called Rent A Center back just after closing time and told them I just wanted my money back. I was told that I had to come in to do so. Monday I go into the store only to be greeted by the manager asking me if I was mad at him...I reassured him that I was not at all angry I just don't like my time being wasted. He began some unnecessary small talk, but once I told him that I already got a bed from a different company, he simply walked up to the register and put my money back on my card. I never received an apology or any type of explanation for the lack of communication on his part despite the fact that I missed a day of work and wasted gas twice to come to the store. I can't say that I won't ever patron Rent A Center again, but it definitely won't be the store at 5400 Preston hwy!
