I came here with family one day to purchase wood. And it took A LONG time to find solid pieces that didn't have knots in them. For the sale price, we thought it was a good deal. However when we got to the register to pay-- the worker was on her cell phone. She gave us the "hold on" finger.... Really?? You want US to hold on-- this was already going badly. She told the person on the cell phone to hold on, and she didn't end her call-- she placed her cell phone on the counter and began to scan our items without asking us if we found everything "okay"-- which we didn't. The price was coming up incorrectly, so I mentioned to her that the price was wrong. She looked up into my eyes for the FIRST time and said with an attitude, "Well what do you want me to do about it?" Oh. My. Freaking. Goodness.... HELL NO! "I want you to fix it" I said.... she said, "Well the price that's on the screen is the price that's ringing up-- so that's the price." I scoffed, and turned around. I walked back to the wood section and ripped the price down from the location in the racks and placed it on the counter in front of her. "Well here you go, there's proof, I can take you to the section myself if you don't believe me" She again said "Well I can't do anything about it. I can't fix it" I said "Then find me someone who can, sweetheart" and WOW was that hard. First she picked her cell phone back up, told whoever was on the phone "I'm gonna have to call you back" Yeah, I agree sweet cheeks. Save your cell phone conversations for when you're off the clock... She then called someone on the phone and said "I have some customers up here that are saying something is one price when it's not ringing up that way" The person on the phone walked her through how to change the price. She eventually changed the price but rang us up for too many items. I told her, again, "that's not the right price"... "Well there's 24 pieces of wood"... no there's 22.... "Well I rang them all up and--" EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE because she didn't know how to do her job. And probably for the simple fact that she is ON HER PHONE ALL THE TIME ... Wow... couldn't have been more than 16 years old. A real professional would never do something like that. Nope. I don't think so. I'm not paying for this, I'm not buying this, I'm NOT putting it back on the racks-- I up and left after the MOST frustrating twilight zone scenario of my life. And I had an amazing shopping experience at Lowe's. They even let me have some free wood that was sitting out in front of the building. I will never EVER return to The Home Depot. Not so long as this pink haired idiot is working here.
